Review for Greenwood High
Greenwood: Ever Since Akash Ryall left
Ever Since Akash Ryall left the school administration, the school has completely lost its edge. The fees have been hiked and the parents are held to ransom. The administration is incompetent. I've observed this on two occasions. Once, when they organized a day trip to Innovative film city. It was total chaos during the drop off in Koramangala. They chose a large playground, but without any lights. They returned when it was dark and pandemonium reigned until some parents took the initiative to organize the rest of the parents according to their children's grades and facilitated the safe handover. The principal just stood there barking at the other teachers and kids. What a shame.
The second time was when they took the entire school watch their play, Circle of Life. They did not manage that day except for the play. They left the kids hungry and did not feed them at all. They did not inform the parents to send snacks or lunch either. I have decided to pull my daughter out for her own safety.
I guess I would suggest you to talk to other parents of greenwood high. Rather his role in making this school is negligible. He has been out of most of the schools just after one year!!!! Very strange to see that all schools are colelctively doing something wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know their principal and have seen the amount of efforts and zeal they bring our every day. I have also interacted with teachers at the Greenwood high and found them good.Rather I have seen the amount of positive changes which has been bought after Akash has left.... I stay very close to Greenwood high and have seen the school growing......
My humble suggestion as a parent --- Talk to the principal. These logistical challenges could not be because of somebody leaving!!!.... Go and see the postive changes which has come after he has left.....
Venkat,
Thanks for sharing this feedback. I hope this will be useful for the parents looking for schools.
Yes it is very true that nowadays IGCSE, IB, A level ...X level ( you name it ) ..all these became the advertising mantra for the schools. Obviously such schools charge high fees too!. School buses? .. all the UK universities name will be there on the bus..
Personally I am not against of any of these new affiliations. Schools boast extra curriculars and resort like facilities in the brochure. But what is offered there in terms of basic education and academics..
Well it is our responsibility to do a detailed study..
Thanks
