Review for Kara 4 Kids
I Believe in Kara!
Hello All!
Kara has been a haven for my kids. And I am no anonymous person. I am a long standing Kara parent . Not once but twice over.
My daughter started with the erstwhile "Gintara"when she was 3yrs. I subsequently moved her to Kara when Gintara branched out into Kara & Gaia. This decision was based on what was more suitable for my child & where I thought my child enjoyed a more caring & nurturing environment.
Every question, every concern over the years (and not necessarily those concerning Kara) was keenly followed & addressed too. I moved out my daughter only in the 1st grade to another school. I still have a younger son, who continues to attend KARA. I have known Katherine for 4 years now & experienced Kara over the past 3 years. I am VERY HAPPY to have found KARA. My daughter still loves visiting the school to meet with the "didi's" there.
The attention to detail that I have seen in KARA flows across the board from Katherine, to Trupti , Arundhati, Savitha, Kalpana (from the current team @ JML) as well as the caring & attentive support staff. Such caring does not come easy (and is not found in any other pre-school) in a comercial set-up. And as a matter of fact, there is no benchmark to it either. There is no school/ preschool that I would even want to explore for my child (even if it was offerred for FREE).
Does that mean that KARA always has the BEST staff all the while? Kara teachers are really sought after and with good teachers, they always stand the risk of them being offerred more lucrative options financially. But that just means they are good enough to be sought after. Does that not say something??!! Also there are odd instances where a choice has not fitted in too well into the Kara philosophy & guidelines for child care. I have seen such people being unobtrusively but firmly weeded out over the last 3 years. That there is 1 out of 10 staff who might be a misfit is not a major concern. However that it is checked in time & corrected is what I find very commendable.
There have been times when parents have acted out of turn, very rudely. Kara has lost some wonderful people lon account of such unruly behaviour.Geeta, the head of the RMV centre left after one such incident. How many parents would demand a "compensation" from another for such outcomes?? I would like to slap a case against such parents who cost our kids a wonderful teacher if that was a possibility.
Is KARA cheap???
NO. When my daughter joined Gintara the fees felt very steep to us too. Over the years things have gone well and it is much more affordable today. However, they seem like value for money today and every step along the way too over the last 3 years. The love, care & nurturing our kids get at Kara can barely be measured.
Its a pity that KARA is only a pre-school. I wish I never had to move my kids out of the Kara environment atleast untill Grade10.
Is KARA the perfect pre-school for your child?
Depends on what you are looking for - BUT decide that by speaking to actual people & seeing facts for yourself. Do not trust these blogs. There are too many people venting out unrelated greivances in the wrong place.
- Do get in touch with genuine Kara parents in person.I do not want to leave my contact number here for obvious reasons. But if you want to touch base & get a genuine understanding of Kara for your child, do write to me on archana.lif@gmail.com.
- Better still.....stop outside a Kara school gate as the kids arrive in the morning & leave at varied times from 12noon or 3 pm or 5pm-5:30pm and see for yourself.
- Or check with the school & join in for a Koffee with Kara session where you will get genuine feedback from real Kara parents... (not pretend ones).
My best wishes & all my support to KARA, Katherine & the wonderful KARA team at JML.
