ASHA is a Holistic Multidisciplinary Task Oriented Academy which provides Special Education to children with severe disabilities. The special interest of this Academy is the disability Autism. ASHA was established in 1995 and has been addressing the educational needs of the children with special needs. ASHA moved into a newly constructed premises in November 2005. ASHA is a part of the India Autistic Forum and regular workshops are conducted to educate parents and also to provide a platform for discussion among parents and to exchange information. |
| Activities |
Children are exposed to both individual and group activities. Activities are developed for different skill areas and individual plan is made for each child. Ample opportunities are provided for children to socialize with each other and also children from the mainstream. |
