Canadian International School started out as "The Canadian School of India" in 1996. The school was founded to cater to the International educational needs of NRI and expat families living and working in Bangalore. This school became the "Canadian International School" when it was taken over by Mr. Ramani Sastri (Sterling Developers (Real Estate)) in 2004. The kindergarten programme has 3 levels (Pre-KG, Junior KG and Senior KG). Each of these has a Montessori component everyday. For grades 1 through 10, CISB follows the curriculum prescribed by the Ontario Ministry of Education, Canada (http://www.edu.gov.on.ca). It has been further enriched to meet the needs of the international students. Grades 11 and 12 follow the IB Diploma Programme CISB provides college counselling and guidance programmes. |
