CFL - Center For Learning

CFL is an alternative school started in 1990 by a group of people interested in the educational philosophy of J. Krishnamurti.

The philosophy behind the school is very interesting to say the least and the approach to education is definitely "alternate". It does not appear that the students are subject through a set "curriculum". Having said that, the students are presented for the IGCSE examination for the 10th and 12th grade levels which obviously enables the students to go on for further education.

CFL is a fairly small school located outside Bangalore (in Magadi Taluk) for students between the ages of six and nineteen. The number of students in the school is less than 100 with a very high student to teacher ration (about 20 teachers - both full and part time). Typical class strength is between 5 to 10 students.

The school has got a very informative website and one of the best we have seen. We highly encourage interested parents to visit the same.
