Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) schools have been established by the SSRVM trust. The SSRVM trust is the educational wing of the "Art of Living foundation" (founded by Sri Sri Ravishankar). As per the website, the intention is to impart value education in a stress free and child friendly environment.

Till date, around 88 schools are run all over India (in 13 states).

15 of them are present in Bangalore (in Malleshwaram, Vidyaranyapura, Chandra Layout, HSR Layout, JP Nagar, Jeevan Bhima Nagar, Sarjapur Outer Ring Road, Varthur/Whitefield, Siddapura, Banaswadi, RMV 2nd Stage, RT Nagar, Opposite the Ashram) and 1 each in Hyderabad and Chennai.

Most of the schools around Bangalore are like pre-schools (and admit students till the Upper Kindergarten). The branches in Vidyaranyapura, Kachamaranahalli (Sarjapur, Outer Ring Road) and Kanakapura road (in the Ashram) offer classes till the 7th grade (and will likely offer more classes as the students continue there). They follow the ICSE curriculum presently and may get further affiliations later.

The school's website does not provide a whole lot of information and is not userfriendly. The school will be well served by refreshing their website and offer simple navigation and a lot more information. (Hint, Hint - look at CFL's site). Parents - if you are going to be reaching out to the school, please emphasize the importance of them to update their webiste.
Activities
  • A typical day will begin with prayer and shlokas
  • Yoga and appropriate krias are taught to children above 7
  • Some branches have Karate and Gymnastics as a part of the activities

parents,

I am one of the happiest parent, where my child is going to sri sri ravishankar balmandir panatur, marthahalli. Earlier i was sending my child to VIBGYOR where i had to shell out huge on academic but wasn't impressed with their teaching. My child is to come home tired. There the staff weren't giving much attention to the kids, coz my child use to return home not even finishing his lunch box 1/4th when i raised this concern to the management they said they would look into it but as days gone nothing moved. So i pulled my child and got him enrolled at sri sri ravishankar balmandir panatur, marthahalli since then i am very much relieved and happy as my child is not only coping well but also finishing his lunch completely. the staff at school are very courteous and take care of kids well.

The curriculum and teaching is also on par with others, i think under guruji's grace they are doing really good. I wish them all the best and keep up this good work.

Can anyone provide more info on the quality of education, extra curricular activities and overall general student care?

This school is truly eyewashing and money making school.full of drama by conduction kyc.especially the principal lady unruly disorganized and acting in front of parents .please dont beleive this school.at all .by telling jaigurudev they are purely acting.never ever believe them at all.by having the name of ravishankar no one should go there and fall on their feet.it is truly ediotic and cheating..

As far as I know the Sarjapur branch of SSRVM is affiliated to CBSE not ICSE.

Hi All,

I need input for SSRVM sarjapur branch.I looked the whitefield bal mandir,but it is not very impressive.No infrastructure and play area.
Though the fee is reasonable,i want to chk the teaching quality and overall how is the school.
Please give me fedback asap,as i need to take a decision for my son's admission.

I have heard good feedback on SSRVM Sarjapur. But if you considering bal mandir @panatur ORR, please be careful. They are just using Guruji's name to get admisisons. This school is not run by SSRVM trust, The school is of sub standard quality, not even comparable with a normal small town school. Very poor quality of teaching.
