Vidya Mandir was established in 1957, first as a kindergarten schools for boys in the neighborhood. It is today a co-educational school with over 2000 students , 100 teachers, and 35 support staff and offers all classes from kindergarten till 12th standard. Admissions for 2009-2010: Forms will be given out on 19th January from 8.00 AM till 1.PM *ONLY*. The completed application form should be returned before January 23rd (2.00 PM). For admissions to UKG and beyond, an entrance test will be conducted. Please check with the school for updated information.

Vidhya mandhir, mylapore is prominant one though there are many such with the similar names. A prominant large size logo cld be added in the page. Achievers list need not be there, but curriculum to achieve such results (not merely the facilities) cld be included. There are wide spread praising comments on vidhya mandhir such aas the following: Equal importance to curricular and extra curricular activities given; communication skills apart from subject knowledge play a vital role in this institution; School timing for the different standards; participation and achievements in recent events; cricket tournaments and otehr sports events conducted by the institute; etc etc,. There are many to mention about this school!.
