Details

Vidya Niketan School , a coeducational, secular school run by the Kasturba Education Trust. Vidya Niketan offeres classes from the 1st to the 12th standard and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination  (ICSE), New Delhi

Activities

The school has a rich set of activities such as music, dance, arts, crafts, and various kinds of sports. Various other activites such as yoga, meditation are also taught in the school premises.

The sports field has a lot of facilities - such as - 3 cricket pitches, a full sized football field, two volleyball courts, two basketball courts, a kho-kho field and a throwball court. Games are compulsory thrice a week for all classes

Can somebody please let me know what the procedure is, to transfer to Vidya niketan from Vidya shilp? We have chosen Vidya shilp and now want to change to Vidya niketan. Kid is in Prep I. Any information on this will be greatly appreciated.

why do you want to switch from VSA to VNS, My son is also with VS and out of curiosity, I got in touch with lots of students who have joined VSA and VNS after 10'th and they all say that VSA is better than VNA. Apart from that, in todays scenario , infact after extrapolating 10-15 years future, the values/education style of VSA would fit more. Rest is your choice but I guess VSA is better than VNS which is just a kind of school where me/you have passed out.

Since I see your comment posted some years ago and I am in your old state now, please let me know whether you shifted from DPS North to Vidyaniketan or not. What is your advise now for me?

I just saw your comment that you were shifting your child from DPS to Vidyaniketan. I am at present in Canada and relocating to India in April of 2010. I was planning to send my son ( 8 years) to DPS North school. I would like to know how you found the school and how do you find Vidyaniketan as compared to DPS. Did you send him to Vidyaniketan? Any reply will be appreciated.
