Hi All,
My daughter who is 2 yrs old joined YKROK, Baghmane tech park on 6th july 2011. To give a brief background of my daughter she has been going to day care right from 8th month at CGCCC. She never cried a day when she was there, I am not putting this for comparison just to give heads up that she is not new to day care. Since we shifted to bgl east while looking for other options we found that YKROK is the best one for us as it is near office. Now let me elucidate the things happening there in the center which I have heard from my wife and friends.
INSTANCE 1:
On the day of joining we observed that no body talks in english every one talks in their own language. Kids are finding it difficult to understand. One kid was crying neither the teacher nor the helpers didn't even bother and let him cry. I understand there are many kids but we should try to make them get into the group.
INSTANCE 2:
My friends mother-in-law is with the kid for 1 week to make him used to the surrounding. One kid did not eat anything from morning. It's ok it happens but this has to be informed to the parents right but that has been not done there and he sleeps tired of crying. When their mom came the teachers are telling that he had food. Why should they hide on this. This is not fair.
INSTANCE 3:
Observation of my friend wife... One kid name is Govind and the helpers mocking him saying 'GOVINDA GOVINDA'... This is truly unprofessional.
INSTANCE 4:
Teachers/Helpers are very busy in logging on to internet and looking into their social networking sites.
INSTANCE 5:
This happened with my daughter. She will not drink cold water and was crying for water. My wife went in and understood the situation. She asked for the teacher, she points out hand to other teacher saying she is in charge today for this class. The other teacher looks confused. They are not clear on which class they need to take care this type of management running in there. Then I called the principal and she gives me explanation saying we have AC hence it is cold. How ridiculous is this...
These are the things which i heard from my wife and ppl who were these... Going forward no parents will like to have their kids in such a place as we leave the kids for the betterment not for suffering.
She has been just in the creche for 5 days for which we paid the whole quarter fees now no body responds from the management on the same....

Hi, I have also seen the disregard for the children at YKROK. After waiting for a few days I have learnt that this management does not pay to their staff and the vendors who deal with them . Everyday we heard of people coming and abusing the management and one day we saw a vendor bringing in cops to get the dues from them.
How do you expect the staff to work diligently? the management seems to be a group of cheats.I have taken out my child after a big fight. We need to boycott such schools.
I am a working mother at Juniper Networks in Bagmane Tech Park. My child is 19 months old and has been going to Your Kids R Our Kids since April. I am a satisfied parent. The teacher is warm and friendly and greets me all the time. My office is in the same building of the centre. I drop in several times per day. From the outdoor glass doors I can see the teacher interacting with the children. She is sitting down on the rug with them. My daughters teacher is seen listening and helping children in her group with the things that they need. I have seen children involved in activities, and not wandering around. The ratio between my child's teacher and children per classroom is 4 to one.
When I drop into the centre, I always get information on
• the kinds of activities they did during the day
• whether my child had any difficulties
• Whether my child took a nap, how she ate
The parent who has written negative points I happen to know this parent as we work together. He told me he got transferred to another location within a few days of joining YKROK, so had to make up a story to get the refund back. Its sad that parents like him have to make up negative stories and if they feel writing on this site can help obtain the refund, I feel its the wrong way to go. Rather speak to the authorities and our company folks and sought it out.
I highly recommend Your Kids R Our Kids to all parents. Please do not read the garbage written about this child care centre as its not true. Without this centre I would be jobless. Juniper parents you know how to get in touch with me directly. I am in the WXC Application Acceleration Dept. Best regards, Asha
Hi,
I am going to write about Your Kids ‘R’ Our Kids HSR layout branch – Kids ‘R’ Our Kids HSR layout branch has 3000 sqr feel (2 floors) nearly 100+ kids in different age group . 3000 sqr ft include kitchen and other facility’s. around 10 staffs (including helpers ). Most of the children’s are not take care by Kids ‘R’ Our Kids staffs .most of the kids fight among them and many kids habit become adamant. I also attracted my add and web site stuffs. Hi ,
Need some view points reg the below incident which happend to us recentlu.
Actually due to my daughter's ill health we had discontinued her from the day careand re-located to Chennai. But had paid a full quarter fees. We were not very sure if the day care would consider our case and refund. We had a series of mail exchanged regarding the same and after the request for 20 days we received a mail stating as an exception to consider our case a mail from HR is needed,I had to follow with my manager and HR for the same. After a day my HR had directly mailed confirming our transfer to Chennai. And then I recieve a reply from the Head stating that only refundable deposit is possible.
Only thing I wanted to know from them was for a refundable deposit why an HR mail was needed as a Refundable deposit by default had to be paid by the school once the kid quits for whatever reason it may be.
Unnecessarily they had wasted 20 days to decide and also gave unnecsarry false hopes.
This has created a kind of mental disturbance and unnecessary discussion with my manager and HR for the Confirmation mail.
The school has simply wasted our time and could have on the fifth day atleast stated they cant refund the fess instead of creating such drama.
Totally money minded attitude.
Dont know whether it is a right forum to share but just for the feeling good factor, posted the same

Hi all,
My kid has been going to YKROK on Outer Ring Road for more than a year now.. as a working mom it was a tough decision for me to send her to day care when she was abt 8 months old.. but I'm happy with YKROK. They did have a lot of teething problems at the ORR center - like center head changing every few months etc. but I never faced a problem with basic things like the attitude mentioned in post by Ashish.
We do have concerns of my daughter falling sick, but the only solution for that is not to send the kid to day-care at all, which luxury I dont have as we are a nuclear family. Of course kids who go to daycare are more prone to falling sick and every time I complain, my paediatrician just says as long as I send her to daycare I shouldnt :( So finally its about making a choice to completely give up your career (for moms atleast) or try to work the fine balance.
I have found the nurses (infant section) of YKROK extremely good (I can speak for the ORR center only) - so was actually surprised to see Ashish's post. The biggest problem YKROK at ORR need to handle is retaining the center heads! The grounds people are good..
Hi,
We needed to keep our 6 months old kid for a month in day care as my parents were to go to hometown. Considering YKORK's vicinity to our office and our home, we thought of keeping her there. We were impressed by the infrastructure and hi-tech such as online availabilty of the daily reports etc. Since it was near to our office, we used to visit her during luch time. To our surprise, the behavior of head nurse to one of toddler was bad. We even once saw her pulling one kid by leg in anger and wondered what she would do if nobody were there.
Our kid went hardly there for 8-10 days and felt sick severly. She was in Apollo for 5 days and we had to go through the pain of seeing her in needles. Doctors told she has got the infection from creche. Then we realised that we have even seen them giving medicines to many other kids and that is how she has got the infections. We decided to make some other arrangement from then onwards and never to send her to any play school till she is atleast 2 years old. As expected, YKROK did not return our money.
My 2 cents,
1. Just do not get impressed by the infrastructre or how much they are charging.
2. Professional front end does not mean that they will take good care of the kids
3. Go for surprise visits to creche.
4. Be ready for some infections. I did not consider this fact at all while going for a day care.
5. Last but not the least that best care can be taken only by family. Start sending him/her to play school when he/she can tell you how he/she was treated.

Ashish, i disagree with your statement, maids do not have child care training, lack of education around safe hygiene standards and difficulty imparting information given language issues and are not reliable coming to work. I am anti maids.
also grandparents are unable to engage with their child in ways that would be enriching to the child both physically and intellectually...... best to put in a daycare centre only.
I have 2 kids in this ykrok daycare since 3 years since they were 4 months, and honestly telling you, I am satisfied. I have good stories to share. i know a bunch of parents as well, and i know they are happy. our kids hangout on weekends, and we share alot of fun stories.
i am surprised with your feedback, as its not the kind of service or attitude we as parents have seen or felt.
Hi Praveen,
Are you really the parent OR a staff member posting on behalf of YKrOK. During admissions to the school , I was told that housekeeping staff will not touch the kids and thats there policy. But looking at the comment from Ahsish, they dont follow that rule.
Thanks Ashish for such an elaborate feedback.I always used to plan to send my kid there once he is 1 year old as I am close to thier koramangla center. But I would now rather look for some other day care. Thanks a lot!!!!Any good day care that you know near EGL complex??
