NCFE: Unprofessional transport team
The transport department run by this school lacks proffesionalism. let me not get into the details of what difficulty i am facing. Here the incharge does not have control over his drivers.
Note: A small incident to showcase the open greed of the school. Last yer annaual day CD's were sold at Rs 180/CD. Its just a matter of copying the master.
Somehow this school gives me negative vibes.
BIG NO for Neev
My wife and I chose Neev's new Koramangala branch as our toddler's first school after researching several play-schools and day-cares, mostly based on online reviews.
Despite the high fees and the fact that we were not allowed to attend a 'live' session (they allow prospective parents to view a session only with advance notice at one particular time of their choice) we were impressed by the facilities and the principal and decided to register with Neev.
Right from the first day we noticed that many of the teachers seemed to lack the enthusiasm and energy in their interaction with the children. Admittedly, this was the first week and there will be some amount of uncertainty on the part of the children and parents but this is exactly where the teachers should have stepped up and ensured everyone’s made comfortable and welcome. Little things, like not using saying ‘Please’ and ‘Thank You’ with kids, allowing shoes for everyone even in the toddler areas where kids spend most of their time on the floor, and leaving the sandpit unattended while children were playing there, just add up to form a big problem.
But most important, was our very surreal experience when we wished to discuss our concerns with the centre head and principal, together. First, we were denied an appointment with the principal and were forced to talk only with the centre head. The principal did appear half-way thought the meeting and even before we could finish explaining our point of view she went on the defensive, completely closed to what we had to say. Within minutes, what was an open discussion deteriorated into a rude defence based on how we did not know enough to judge right or wrong about the environment and teachers at Neev. The principal actually asked us why we were wasting the centre head's time (the appointment was given by their staff the previous day- we hadn't insisted on any particular time). The scene was more like a road-side quarrel than a parent-teacher discussion. Long story short, we left Neev more baffled than angry at the extremely discourteous, ill-mannered and closed attitude of the principal. Needless to say, the principal completely refused to even talk about the Rs. Sixty-three Thousand we had already paid them. Our child went to Neev all of three days.
The point of this long-winded review is that prospective parents keep in mind that reputation of a certain school or branch certainly does not guarantee good service and high standards. In this case though, the principal's actions definitely explain the sorry state of Neev: Big on talk before you pay up, zero in implementation and simple courtesy afterwards.
Shishu Griha - horrible school in the locality
If you want to see hell on the earth. then think of admitting your kid to this school. this one such school, who do not tell you when they are going to issue the Application Form, what is the selection process, what is the criteria for selection, they won't allow you to enter into the gate. the watchmen doesnot even know english or kannada, Somebody told me the toilets stincs, class rooms are very tiny. they do not even own ground. they are using public ground troubling the general public from using this BBMP Ground. they park their school vans in the ground creating lot of trouble. Some how with great diffuculty if you go inside the office, you will meet one someone who will literaly bark at you. I assure you, even if you visit every day for one year regularly you will not get the admission, because they have instructed the watchman to allow the people who look good, rich and wealthy. and they give admission to only those who pay more than 2 lakhs. so this one natorious school in banglore.
NHVPS - Terrible eperience with the principal
Same experience we had, when we went for PG1 admission interview for our daughter. Principal (Rama Ranganathan) was very rude. She asked about our schooling, college and our job profile . She even asked about our parents and our siblings’ education and profession. She asked us if we had any questions for her, everytime we asked her a question, she would answer abruptly, giving us an impression that she was not interested in answering any of our concerns. She started finding mistakes in whatever we spoke. We felt as if we were insulted and thrown out of the school. I and my husband both work in a very good organization in very good position. We had heard a lot about this school, and were always dreaming to join our daughter here and were waiting for an opportunity to meet the principal. We were really disappointed and insulted.
All those who didnot get through the admission to NHVPS, please don't lose heart, there are other good schools in the locality where the Management is friendly and approachable that makes you feel comfortable.
NPS n New Horizon, Bangalore
The selection process is absolutely non-transparent in NPS as well as in New Horizon (personal experiences) Bangalore. Also Application forms are sold at premium of 500% (actual cost will not be more than Rs.50 per form, but are sold for Rs. 300 to Rs.500) to the unsuspecting innocent Parents.
They will not even let you know, why your kid has not been selected. Infact i had politely requested them not to give an admission to my kid but atleast let me know if there is anything which is missing/lagging in our child so that we as a parent can concentrate more on the same. But these requests are hardly listened to by their un-friendly staff (This is the state of Child developmental education these people commit about).
This made me re-think / analyse the overall performance and found that there is nothing really worthy with these money minting schools.
Hence my thumbs down to these two Institutions.
Opinion on Canadian International School, Bangalore
If you have considering sending your kids to the CIS in Bangalore, please think twice. The school quality of education is very inferior especially in secondary. The school is not equipped to support international the challenges of expat kids.
The school has no gevernance and few individuals make the decison.
The owner is only interetsed in the bottom line and not the interest of the student.
Continuity in satff is not there as principals keep changing
About BGSNPS
Both my daughters go to BGSNPS for the past 2 years. I would rate the school as average
The buildings are superb and the infrastrucure is quite ok. But not much importance to extra curricular activities. they claim that they teach music, keyboard etc., during the class hours but it never happen. There is no workbook practice and revisions either.
I also felt that the high fee they charge (Rs.45000 a year only as tuition fee) is not justifiable.
ON the positive sides, my daughters do like to go to school and not undue pressure on the kids.
information regarding school
i just want to know if national hill view public school located in rajeshwari nagar is the branch of national school,
Education standards of Silver Oaks, Hyderabad
My son is studying in Silver Oaks, Hyderabad since last 4 years.
I feel that the school has become more and more commercial. No standard of education. Every year they change education pattern. They say that as IB methodology
Every thing commercial no value for money. Schools announce themselves as International school. It’s of hopeless. They make good money even in annual opera too function too. Every where money. Lots of holidays and school works five day week.
Will Recommend Pupil Tree!
Hi,
My child currently attends one of Pupil Tree's Centres in Bangalore. I do not regret the decision to send him there at all and having read the above reviews I felt the need to make a case on behalf of Pupil Tree.
The bulk of the criticism above seems to relate to the 'high' fees. The first thing I would say is that this is entirely justified by the superior facilities provided (as one of the people making the criticisms above admits). Secondly, as long as someone is providing a safe environment and caring staff for my young child I am happy and will not put a price on that. (i dont really care whether they provide revolutionary 'teaching methodology' as someone has complained above at this age its more about the company of other children and basic learning. Also, they definitely use techniques superior to, and more modern than, other day care centres I have interacted with)
I have been impressed with the staff's attitude and am very happy with my choice of Pupil Tree. I hope this review will help other parents make a more balanced decision on where to send their children rather than relying on what I percieve to be extremely biased opinions listed above.
Thanks
